Angelique quickly looked around, only to see two other women in the intern locker room. “Only 3 women out of 15 interns. Three! That’s ah-fucking-mazing!” She turned to an intern with a bob haircut. She recognized her from the intern mixer that happened last night— before she left for the nightclub and had a one night stand with a complete stranger. “Hi, I’m Angelique Yeung. OB/GYN/Neonatal. You’re Elise, right?”
“EVANS! JONES! YEUNG!”
“Time to meet our resident… I hope they aren’t that bad.”
She then looked to the senior resident, and asked, “Seabourne?”
“Nope, end of the hall.”
“Fuck. That’s our resident? She looks like a hot mess. And she’s the chief resident?” Angelique commented, looking at the doctor shuffling around what looked to be patient files.
They all approached the resident with uncertainty, while their resident smiled at them eagerly. Angelique smiled back nervously.
“Dr. Angelique Yeung?”
“Yes, that’s me.” She raised her hand awkwardly, confirming Callie’s question.

Callie gave her interns a welcoming smile, nodding.
"Okay, we'll start off with a tour of the Hospital,
and then we'll figure out what specialties you're best fit for to
start." She turned swiftly, Mario Vans thudding on the
pristine tiles as she led them throughout the halls.
"Nursery, Clinic, Nurses Station, Clinic," She rattled
off the names of each area as they passed. Stopping at the
Nurses Station on the top floor, she turned and smiled, for
the 12th time in that short hour. "Alright,
I get it. I seem too childish for my Job." She shook
her head, dark waves shifting.
"I promise, I earned my place here. Just like I hope you
three will." Setting her clipboard down, she crossed
her arms over her chest. Now, what
specialties are you interested in? I work in Orthopaedics,
but I can arrange you to be switched to your desired
resident to learn more about that specialty."
